Built in Colorado Names Workiva Among the 2020 Best Places to Work

January 15, 2020

Built in Colorado, Colorado's online community and resource for technology companies and start ups, released its annual list of the 100 Best Places to work in Colorado.

Companies are ranked algorithmically based on compensation and employer benefits identified in Built in Colorado's database. Compensation is weighted 50% and benefits are weighted 50%. For compensation, Built in Colorado looks at the median percentile for all salaries entered by companies and compares that to the rest of the companies in their database. For benefits, Built in Colorado looks at the benefits most important to the site's core audience and assigns points to each benefit and perk.

The following categories are considered when ranking companies:

  • Health & Wellness
  • Financial Planning & Stability
  • Flexible Work Environment
  • Diversity & Culture
  • Professional & Social Impact
  • Perks & Discounts

Workiva (NYSE:WK), provider of the world’s leading connected reporting and compliance platform, made its debut on the list this year and ranked 82 among large companies.

In addition to competitive salaries, employment with Workiva means employees also receive a variety of added benefits, and a modern, employee-centric office space with major perks.

Some benefits considered for the list include a staffed and supported Diversity & Inclusion program, company-provided bicycles and healthy snacks and drinks, company-sponsored team outings, and a creative culture led by open-minded leaders. Employees enjoy an autonomous work environment and additional benefits such as Flex spending and HSA accounts, supplemental life insurance, Paternity Leave, 401K plans and Employee Stock Purchase Plans. Additionally, Workiva offers paid volunteer time off for employees so that they may give back to their communities.
