Workiva Continues Expansion in Latin America With Appointment of Regional Leadership Team
NEW YORK, September 24, 2024 - Workiva Inc. (NYSE: WK), the global leader in assured integrated reporting, has announced its continued expansion into Latin America with the appointment of a regional leadership team. Backed by the only SaaS platform uniting financial and sustainability reporting with governance, risk management, and compliance, Workiva is uniquely positioned to help Latin American business leaders meet stakeholder demands for action and transparency while staying ahead of an increasingly complex regulatory environment. This move positions the company to capitalize on growing momentum in the region while strengthening its relationships with area customers, including Grupo Bimbo and Banco Santander Mexico.
"We are thrilled to continue investing in Workiva’s expansion in Latin America and officially welcome a new leadership team to the region. Expanding our presence in Latin America represents a strategic step forward for our company and marks a significant milestone as we expand Workiva’s global footprint,” said Julie Iskow, President and CEO, Workiva. “At Workiva, we believe our people and our technology make up the foundation of our success. This team’s market expertise combined with Workiva’s innovative platform and solutions will enable us to establish enduring local partnerships and help foster financial & sustainability transformation across Latin America."
The dynamic economy and technology landscape of Latin America presents a wealth of market opportunities for Workiva. To spearhead Workiva’s growth in the region, Iskow has appointed three seasoned technology professionals to newly created leadership roles:
- Sandro De Camargo, Regional Vice President, Latin America: De Camargo spent more than 25 years at CA Technologies, a multinational enterprise software developer, before undertaking leadership positions at ServiceNow & Automation Anywhere. In addition to his role at Workiva, De Camargo currently serves as a board member at Staged Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm. He has an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
- Gerardo Flores Zurita, Latin America and Mexico Country Manager: Flores boasts a history of supporting growth across the region for multinational IT organizations, including Hewlett Packard, Oracle, Red Hat, CA Technologies, Forcepoint and McAfee. He has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and completed post-secondary coursework in operations management at the Universidad Panamericana.
- Marcelo Silva, Country Manager, Brazil: Silva brings with him a strategic vision and keen understanding of the Brazilian market. Prior to joining Workiva, Silva held leadership positions at Digibee, Cisco, CA Technologies, and VMware and earned an MBA in enterprise management from the Universidade de São Paulo.
“Workiva has cultivated a global reputation for industry-leading risk and reporting solutions and its dedication to customer support. We are continually impressed by the exceptional service we receive from their team and thrilled to see them expanding their operations here in Latin America,” said Virginia Espinosa Herrera, Global QAIP Manager, Grupo Bimbo. “The investment in a regional leadership team illustrates the company’s commitment to providing local support and expertise. The Workiva platform has been a game-changer for our business, and we couldn't be happier to work with a company that understands our reporting challenges as well as the regions where we operate.”
